D.C. in USA
D. C. Kaushal once again travels across the continent at the age of 71 to meet old friends and make new ones in the United States
who will work with him and Living Hope Ministries through prayer, relationship, and of course financial support. On this trip he is
requesting help to build the first phase of the orphanage. The ground/first floor of the building will accommodate about 50 children and
residence for house parents.

D.C. Reports from India
We have completed the boundary wall in the front section. The bore-well digging work is complete. We are waiting for the power
supply to be connected before Christmas. And we will begin work on the Children Orphanage foundation once the power is supplied.
Please pray as we need funds to build a water tank This would supply all our construction and Children home water needs. We also,
immediately need a 5KV generator to help in our construction work as we have regular and very long power cuts. This generator
would cost us about US$ 2500. Please pray with us for this.

Thank you so much for your earnest prayers for the power connection at Mercy Children Home, Amritsar (Punjab). We are happy to
share with you the good news that today the Lord in His Mercy enabled us to receive the power connection at 7.30 pm Indian
Standard Time. Praise the Lord we now have light over the project site after 4 1/2 months of constant plea to the authorities.
Please continue to pray for the work as it progresses and that the Lord will meet every need.
Let us stay in touch.

Dear praying friends,
We will be dedicating and laying the foundation of the Mercy Children Home Building, Amritsar (Punjab) on 1st march at 3.30 in the
afternoon. Please remember us in your prayers.
We have got the electric poles and the wires fixed at the project site but no electricity meter as of today, so we cannot use the
electricity till that is done! Please pray for this as well.
Yours in Him,
DC

Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We know being so far away from you, it may be difficult at times to understand
what your support means to us but let me express our sincere gratitude for the faith and trust you have placed in me and this ministry
to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Without your support and prayers we could not do this much. With your help we were
able to see new text books and some better and (more in quantity) food products for the children of Living Hope School for Slum and
Street Children.
Due to severe heat, like most schools in the National Capital Region, we were compelled to close the school earlier than planned
(May 19th). Praise God for answering your prayers for the children that not one child suffered heat stroke. We were also able to
send children on their break by conducting a two day Vacation Bible School. Sona, Sakshi and Subodh worked hard to make this a
pleasant, enjoyable and memorable time for the children. The theme this year was the Love of God expressed in His grace and
mercy. Thank you so much for your support dear friends.
Auditors - In the midst of all these activities, we are also rechecking all our accounts and corresponding tallies with all receipts and
accounting vouchers before we have the auditors finalize the accounts for the year ending 31st March 2009.
5/8th Acre parcel of land of Mercy Children Home - I write this time of good news dear friends. After 1 year, 3 months, and 11
days, because of your prayers and God's extreme grace and unfailing promises, we have now in possession of Living Hope Ministries
the 5/8th acre piece of land that you may recall is on the North side and we were not able to build a boundary wall on.
Mercy Children Home building - The children home foundation on this piece of land is now up to DPC level with 37 pillars of rebar
sticking up waiting for the next phase of construction. We have to wait for two weeks for the dirt that was filled inside and around the
building foundations to settle and compact before we work on the pillars, BUT then we also hope that the LORD would provide funds
in June to progress. It has been challenging but not discouraging as we wait on the LORD for the monies for the overhead water
tank supply. The summer heat is brutal on the cement and concrete and brick and they need steady and plenteous supply of water
which is fairly difficult these days.
For all this work I need to stand and watch almost all the time otherwise the labor force is quite complacent and irresponsible. Oh
well. . . . . we just really appreciate you thoughts and prayers dear friend. Praise God for answering the prayers of the saints like that
for the 5/8th acre piece of land.
Last week Sakshi and Subodh (Kathryn was with them) finished serving the children in 4 villages in Punjab over a two week period.
Children from 17 villages came together and in all 450 children were touched by the love of God. They shared on the same theme
that they had prepared for the Slum School children in Gurgaon. We request your prayers that when they return in July to Punjab for
Children's Ministry they may be able to reap a harvest of souls and lead children to salvation. We are asking God for a greater
number of children to be touched.
Church planting in Punjab and Ferozabad
We have 68 people who have confessed their faith in Jesus from middle and lower middle class including several Dalit families in
Ferozabad which is in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Remember Brother Achal Singh and Praveen Kumar who are reaching them.
Pastor Surjeet Singh in Punjab met with an accident and he had severe bruises on his face, and legs. We praise God for saving him
from further injuries.
Three young children at Pastor Heera's church in Punjab died last week due to heatstroke. Please pray for the grieving families.
Brother Gurpal (one of our Bible School graduates) had spinal injuries as a result of beating by his cousin brother who was under the
influence of alcohol. He is recovering in the hospital.
Please remember D.C. and Sona as they travel to Punjab tomorrow morning. Please pray for protection from the severe heat wave.
I urge you to pray with us as we seek the Lord's face this week on finalizing the contractor to overtake the construction work of the
Mercy Children Home.
All Praise and Glory belong to Him alone.
With our prayers and love,
DC & Sona

Phone call from DC
Please Pray,
The work continues on the construction of the children's home despite temperatures that have reached 118 degrees F. Two laborers
became very ill due to the heat. Please pray for the protection of these laborers from any natural problems such as wind, rain, or
cyclone. Also that their would not be any hindrances from people.
The roof is scheduled for completion this August 15 or 16.
